First Trailer for James Wan's Next Horror Movie 'The Curse of La Llorona' Will Probably Terrify You

Ghosts are pretty scary. Ghosts that weep are even scarier.

If you’re easily rattled, avoid the first trailer for "The Conjuring" director James Wan’s next horror movie, "The Curse of La Llorona."

The adaptation of Mexican folklore legend, translated as "The Weeping Woman," appears to be another terrifying experience from the filmmaker behind the "Saw" and "Insidious" franchises.

The ghost story starring Linda Cardellini ("Bloodline") follows a social worker and her kids drawn into the mystery of this ghoul on the prowl for her dead kids after drowning them in a river herself. As these types of premises tend to go, La Llorona raises hell for any human that hears her cries, especially kids.

In the trailer, we see one little boy and girl find this out the hard way.

The movie is directed by Michael Chaves, and he must have done a great job, because Warner Bros. has already hired him to takeover for Wan on "The Conjuring 3."

Even the poster is giving us the heebie-jeebies.

"The Curse of La Llorona" hits theaters April 19.
