Dave Matthews Band Pushes Back New York Concert Over Thunderstorms

The ‘Where Are You Going’ rockers were due to perform at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater Wantagh on July 17, before lightning in the area forced the gig to be called off.

AceShowbiz -The Dave Matthews Band were forced to call off a New York show on Wednesday (July 17) due to thunderstorms.

The “Too Much” rockers were due to perform at the Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater Wantagh, New York, but the gig was initially delayed due to severe weather, and has now been pushed back to Thursday.

“Due to lightning in the area, we are continuing the delay in Wantagh, NY. Please stay tuned for updates,” the group tweeted ahead of the gig, while bosses at the coastal venue urged fans to seek shelter in their vehicles.

They later announced the show would be called off and take place the following day instead, with all tickets remaining valid for the rescheduled date.

After the new date, the group’s tour continues at the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday.
