Coronation Street’s Sally attacked by very familiar new cellmate in shock twist

Coronation Street viewers were shocked tonight when Sally Webster’s new cellmate was revealed.

Abi Franklin was revealed as Sally’s surprise new bunk buddy after she considered taking drastic action and drinking a vile beverage to become ill and postpone her court date.

"I don’t reckon much to the cocktails in this joint," said smiling Abi as she appeared in the doorway.

She added: "I don’t fancy you chundering all over my new cell."

Sally explained to Abi that she needed to get her case adjourned, but she couldn’t bring herself to make herself sick.

Admitting she was lowering herself to Duncan’s level, Sally said: "I did think about bashing my head against the wall but I’m not that sort of person."

In response, Abi quickly came up with a cunning plan, which involved Sally taking a whack to the face.

Poor Sally collapsed to the floor with a bleeding lip after being punched square in the face by Abi.

"I’m exactly that kind of person luckily for you, so you lay down and play dead," said Abi.

She then shouted for the guards to come while Sally stayed on the floor.

Their plan actually worked, but Sally will be in a lot of trouble if the truth comes out.

Corrie viewers took to Twitter after watching the hilarious scenes.

One viewer said: "Abi knocking Sally out was everything I needed"

"Sally and Abi= comedy duo," another added.

A third said: "Well that’s one way to do it gotta love abi"

Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
