Fern Britton managed to successfully avoid Phillip Schofield for her first appearance on This Morning today since their incredibly awkward row live on air.
Instead, Fern is set to be interviewed by Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes about her new novel.
The 61-year-old last appeared on the show in October last year when she hit out at the ITV daytime show for not inviting her to the BAFTA TV Awards, which denied the opportunity of collecting the gong for 30 years of the programme.
This led to a furious Twitter spat between herself and Phillip Schofield, who tweeted that she had "memory loss" while insisting that she had been invited to join them.
Ever since Fern handed in her notice back in 2009, rumours of a feud between herself and Phil have followed them.
Back in 2009, friends of the TV star revealed that she felt "undervalued" by ITV bosses and was "living in Phil’s shadow".
It was also claimed that she had discovered she was paid £250,000 a year LESS than Phil, whose salary had soared during his time on the programme.
It had also been reported that he had earned three times her salary while they were presenting Mr & Mrs together – his £45,000 per hour to her £15,000.
Four years later in 2013, Phil revealed that he and Fern no longer spoke and hinted at a rift between them.
Asked whether they still spoke, he told Heat magazine: "No, not really. We were involved in the show and mates at the time, but we don’t really…
Later that year, Fern did not turn up to the programme’s 25th birthday celebrations.
It was suggested that she had been snubbed due to a feud with Phil, though Fern denied the rumours and claimed that she had been busy.
In 2016, Fern denied reports that the reason she left the show was because of him being paid more than her.
However their frosty relationship became apparent after today’s This Morning interview, as Phil commented on a tweet of the awkward moment.
He wrote: "Odd really, because she was invited and declined #memoryloss we’d have loved her to be there. A vital and much loved part of the show."
Another journalist asked why Phil hadn’t assumed that there had been "some time of miscommunication rather than making a jibe about ‘#memoryloss’."
Fern retweeted the comment, remarking: "No. I had no invitation to decline."
While it later emerged that her agents had failed to give her the invitation after assuming that she was busy, eyebrows were still raised at the tense back-and-forths.
And while This Morning and Fern appear to have made amends, it looks like Fern and Phil might not have quite reached that point…
