Wayne Rooney posts loved up photo with wife Coleen after she sets down rules to save marriage

WAYNE Rooney posted a loved-up shot with wife Coleen after she set down rules to save their marriage.

It seems the ex-England captain, 33, is coming good on his promise to Coleen, 32, that they'll spend more time as a couple.

And the star wrapped his arm around his devoted spouse in their latest photo, with the couple looking dressed for an evening out.

Radiant Coleen wore a silk shirt and Wayne looked dapper in a leather jacket teamed with a trendy, black tee-shirt.

The soccer star captioned his picture with a simple emoji of a couple hand-in-hand.

The united front comes after Coleen laid down new rules for wayward hubby Wayne – including less time playing video games.

Coleen, 32, demanded the footballer get help in February after he was arrested for being drunk then partied with a barmaid.

She also wants Wayne, 33, to spend more time with her and their four kids — and the family all hit the beach in Barbados last month.

A source said: “Coleen is adamant Wayne can change his ways and she is helping him get out of the hole he’d fallen into. This holiday marks a fresh start and things are going well.

“First to go was his video gaming obsession and Coleen is demanding he spend more time with the family at home, rather than in a different room staring at a screen. She is desperate for Wayne to end his childish antics and start growing up.

“Now she wants family dinners at home for them to connect and is making sure she sets aside time to spend with Wayne alone.

“Coleen has stuck by Wayne through everything and, when reading the riot act didn’t work, drawing up some new rules was her final option.”

Wayne was seen in Barbados doting on son Cass, one, while Kai, nine, went flyboarding, watched by brothers Klay, five, and Kit, three.

They all relocated to Washington after Wayne’s transfer to DC United.

But the ex-England captain was arrested for being drunk at a Washington airport in December.

He was then pictured on a ten-hour bender with barmaid Vicki Rosiek in February.

The source went on: “Wayne’s not back playing for DC United until April so this break was just what Coleen wanted for them to reconnect.

“She is determined her 11-year marriage will last and her rules gave Wayne the wake-up call he massively needed. Now he’s back on track Coleen couldn’t be happier.”
