Andrea Corr’s memoir, Barefoot Pilgrimage, will be published by HarperCollins in October.
The book will chart the Dundalk singer’s life from the death of her father to international success as lead singer of The Corrs alongside her three siblings.
It is described by HarperCollins as “in part, an exercise in coming to terms with and making sense of life and mortality following the loss of a beloved father; in part, a reflection on an unlikely journey with her siblings through the music industry; in part, a meditation on family, on music, and on creativity; and, in part, a shout-out for love and for hope.”
Andrea has also acted on both the stage and screen, with roles in The Boys & Girl from County Clare and Broken Thread, and she currently lives in London with her husband and two children.
“I am delighted to be publishing a book with HarperCollins and thank them for believing in me, a novice in this book world, with my memoir Barefoot Pilgrimage,” she said.
HarperCollins is the second largest consumer book publisher in the world, publishing around 10,000 new books every year in 16 languages.
