Brad Paisley Replaces Taylor Swift In Nashville Mural

Taylor Swift has been replaced by Brad Paisley in Nashville’s “Legends Corner” mural that pays homage to country music legends.

Apart from Swift, only three other women musicians – Loretta Lynn, Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton – were painted in the mural, which features fourteen country music legends overall.

According to WZTV, artist Tim Davis made the switch, opting to “retire” the 31-year-old singer, painting her out from the picture that showed her sitting on a barstool between Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash.

The picture of Paisley, clad in a blue shirt and with his trademark cowboy hat on, now occupies that place.

Davis says that it was the bar owners’ decision to remove Swift from the mural.

“I have heard many complaints here in Nashville about Taylor being on the wall with country legends since she is currently focused mainly on pop,” Davis said.

He added, “I guess this is to be expected, but by [and] large, the people of Nashville love her, as do I.”

Davis said he hopes to paint a mural in downtown Nashville “that would feature her alone, one side dedicated to her country roots and the other to her success crossing over into pop since I think both are significant.”

He has reportedly set up a GoFundMe page, which seeks to raise $35,000 for a Swift mural.
