Carol Vorderman on 'beating' Carol Kirkwood to email address
Carol Vorderman, 59, revealed she had finally got herself a BBC email address for her radio show listeners to email in requests and shoutouts. But, as with any email provider, there can only be one of any kind and poor Carol Kirkwood lost out on the most popular one.
I tell you what, I beat Carol Kirkwood to that!
During her Radio Wales show, the former gushed that she had finally managed to secure herself an address specifically for work use.
“I’ve got an email address now,” she beamed.
“Get me, I’m getting very posh!”

As she gave listeners her details to get in touch, she admitted that what was her gain was another loss.
“I tell you what, I beat Carol Kirkwood to that!” she giggled.
“My gorgeous Scottish friend, I nabbed the Carol because neither of us the an ‘e’ on the end!”
Elsewhere, BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin, prised Carol K for her kindness throughout her recovery.
She suffered a painful injury while training for the gruelling Norseman triathlon last year and has had to undergo surgery, which has seen her take a leave of absence from the show.
But on her return to the red sofa last week, she gushed over the meteorologist who had sent flowers and “sweet messages” her way.
“I’ve had a foot operation and it is now on the mend,” she told viewers on Wednesday morning.

“But I’m getting stronger everyday!”
Her co-host Dan Walker chuckled: “Well, it was nice to see you hobble in this morning.”
“Carol has been so sweet to me, we’ve been in touch and I’ve really appreciated your messages – and yours Dan – but Carol’s especially!” Louise continued as Carol appeared on screen for her weather segment.
Dan looked bewildered as he laughed: “I was going to say! I have asked if you’re OK!” he smiled.
“But she sent me flowers!” Louise insisted, pointing at her friend.
Carol giggled as she responded: “Bless you Louise, it’s great to have you back!
“And I must say, you’re rocking that boot really well,” she giggled, as the presenter debuted her new foot and ankle brace boot she has to wear out and about for now.
