BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker, 43, took to Instagram to share a montage of his various lockdown hairstyles with his 172,000 followers. In the short clip, the presenter posed and pouted to Vital Fire’s You Make My Dreams Come True, while bopping along with the extreme looks. The hairdos left his fans divided over which suited the news presenter best and were a far call from his usual, casually-swept look which he wears to host the BBC morning show.

I think it’s time to embrace #LockdownHair and try a few different options

Dan posted the montage alongside the caption: “I think it’s time to embrace #LockdownHair and try a few different options.

“What do you think?” he asked his fans with emojis of a pair of scissors and laughing face.

In the first shot, Dan entered the clip sporting a scruffy, spiky hairdo along with a mock-serious expression.

Next up, was a slicked-back style which, judging by the look on his face, he appeared to be less than happy with.

After checking himself out from different angles, he left the shot before once again returning with a mohawk.

Pulling funny faces at the camera, the serious news presenter smiled slightly while trying not to laugh at himself donning the 50’s hairdo.

After re-styling his blonde hair, the TV host returned to shot with his hair brushed forward and shaped into one curl on his forehead.

He then switched to a slicked-back style once again before featuring each hair style in quick succession and ending the video.

Dan’s fans were quick to like his montage and comment, although they were divided over which hairdo the BBC host suited best.

One wrote: “Stop it!!!! I’m hurting from laughing x.”

However, it was the slicked-back look which caused the most contention in the comments, as fans of the presenter were unable to decide who he most resembled.

A social media user penned: “You look like Brian Adam’s with the slick back.”

Another argued that the wet-look ‘do made him look like an TV actor: “Haha it’s got to be the Ray Winston.”

A third added that he resembled Harry Potter villain Draco Malfoy: “With it combed back you look like you could be a Malfoy…”

Nevertheless, not everyone was a fan of the look as one person said: “Don’t do slick back, I prefer the scruffy spikey look!!”

Pundit Stephen Warnock was complimentary to his colleague about his hair experiment.

He commented: “Few good looks in there. I particularly like the @gordongram wild look,” referring to chef Gordon Ramsay’s scruffy, spiked-up style.

Retired footballer Lee Dixon simply wrote: “You need help.”

Yesterday Dan showcased his cooking skills to his following when he posted a clip of him BBQ’ing a spatchcock chicken.

He captioned the post: “First BBQ of 2021…”
