Gabby Barrett‘s “The Good Ones” jumped three spots to reach the top of Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart dated April 17.
The song received 24.7 million audience impressions, improving by 4 percent, in the week ending April 11, according to MRC Data.
“The Good Ones” was co-written by Barrett, Zach Kale, Emily Landis and Jim McCormick.
“I did not think the past week could have been any more amazing, but to have the No. 1 song feels like the cherry on top,” Barrett told Billboard.
Barret, who was named new female artist of the year by the Academy of Country Music last week, thanked her husband, her family and fans for supporting her and her label and team for helping take her second single to the top. She also thanked country radio for playing the song.
This is the country singer’s second No. 1 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay Chart. The first topper was “I Hope,” which reached No. 1 on the chart dated April 25, 2020.
Barrett is the first female artist to earn two career-starting No. 1s on the Country Airplay chart since Kelsea Ballerini did it in September 2016.
