Johnny Depp is giving Amber Heard a whole new reason to be pissed off!
The Fantastic Beasts star gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly Thursday about his role in The Crimes Of Grindelwald.
But the villainy they asked him about was his alleged physical abuse of his ex-wife.
Specifically, they asked Johnny about author/screenwriter J.K. Rowling‘s surprisingly steadfast defense in light of the controversy surrounding him.
“I’ll be honest with you, I felt bad for J.K. having to field all these various feelings from people out there. I felt bad that she had to take that. But ultimately, there is real controversy. The fact remains I was falsely accused, which is why I’m suing the Sun newspaper for defamation for repeating false accusations. J.K. has seen the evidence and therefore knows I was falsely accused, and that’s why she has publicly supported me. She doesn’t take things lightly. She would not stand up if she didn’t know the truth. So that’s really it.”
Wow. That is a bold claim, yet another Amber would likely say Johnny is not legally allowed to make — and to which she is not allowed to respond.
Apparently this supposed “evidence” may see the lumos of day soon though, as Depp’s attorney says he’ll present it in his case against The Sun.
Do YOU think he’ll be able to prove he was falsely accused??
