Little Mix star Jesy Nelson reveals she’s taking a career break to ‘travel the world’

Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson took to Instagram to inform her fans and followers that she will be taking a career break over the summer to go travelling.

The star revealed she had "always wanted" to go travelling, however "never had the time" to do so until now, however she hasn't revealed where she will be visiting.

Jesy shared a text picture to her Instagram grid which read: "Hey guys! So for a long time I've really wanted to go travelling but never had the time to do it. I've got some really exciting things coming up with work and music, but until then I'm gonna take the summer off to travel the world.

"I'm going to be off my social media for a while, I love you all so much and I'll see you when I'm back".

Fans took to twitter to show their support for the singers decision, as one tweeted: "I'm actually happy for her cos she's living her best life travelling the world and spending time on the beach ,clubs and restos … wow ! Why not ? She can come back to music in winter", while another said: "The way I’m actually so happy for Jesy, it’s only over summer so no need to stress!"

Another penned: "This big trip could be exactly what she needs before trying to launch her album".

The decision to travel follows just a few weeks after the solo singer celebrated her 32nd birthday. Celebrating her special day, the former Little Mix star enjoyed the company of her boyfriend Zion Foster and friends just months after making the move to live Stateside.

Jesy shared a snap where she posed on some stairs, wearing a stylish combo of camouflage trousers and heels, with balloons from the celebrations covering the marble floor.

Jesy confused her Instagram followers with a caption, joking: "50 never felt so good [ring emoji]", despite only just turning 32."

One fan replied: “You’re like a fine wine!!! Here’s to 50 more years of you!”, while another commented: “50? What?”

A third added: “50 looks so good on you” with a heart-eyes and laughing face emoji.

The loved up couple first went public with their romance in January 2023, when they were spotted out shopping together after weeks of brushing off rumours of a budding romance.

Zion, who is from London, is known for tracks such as Bad and My Story, whilst Jesy has been carving out a solo career since leaving Little Mix, enjoying success with her first breakout single Boyz, featuring Nicki Minaj, which peaked at No. 4 in the UK charts.
