Mary Kay Letourneau and her husband Vili Fualaau could be reconciling after their separation, The Blast has reported.
According to court documents, the notorious famed lovers-turned-spouses are pushing back the court trial which would legally separate them.
Fualaau, 35, filed for legal separation from Mary Kay, 56, in May 2017 after 12 years of marriage and two daughters.
But Letourneau didn’t immediately respond to her husband’s filing, and the judge was close to granting the legal separation anyway, as The Blast has noted.

Letourneau finally filed legal papers several months later, saying that she didn’t agree with his decision for them to separate.
The disgraced ex-teacher said she “believes in reconciliation, is reconciling and reconciliation is possible.”
But Fualauu’s attorney said back then, “My client is moving forward with the separation.”
Court docs reveal that the original trial date was set for earlier this year but they both agreed to move it to September 10.

Recently, the troubled couple again agreed to push back the trial several months with the new agreed date being February 19, 2019.
They shocked the world in 1997 when the then 34-year-old teacher, a married mother-of-four, was arrested for having sex with her underage student Fualaau, 13.
While awaiting sentencing, Letourneau had Fualaau’s child, their first daughter. Letorneau spent three months in jail but after her release, cops caught her having sex with Fualaau in a car.
The judge in the case ruled that Letourneau had violated the conditions of her plea agreement, vacated her probation, and re-sentenced her to seven years of prison time.

Letourneau gave birth to Fualaau’s second daughter in prison and completed her sentence in 2004.
When Letourneau was released in 2004, the court dissolved the no-contact order with Fualauu at his request.
Still in love, they married in May 2005. (Letourneau’s first husband had divorced her in 1999).
As RadarOnline.com reported, she recently claimed in an interview that she had been wrongly imprisoned.

Speaking to the Australian show Sunday Night, defiant Letourneau, now 56, said she was “tricked and coerced” into her initial guilty plea.
“I did the best that I felt at the time – but it is just absurd to think that 13-year-old’s are not having sex and they are not pursuing it.
“I did not know, I have said this over and over again, that this would count as a crime,” the unrepentant ex-jailbird said.
In his separation petition, Fualaau said they did not have a prenuptial agreement and neither owned real property. He sought to have his personal property awarded to him in the separation, The Blast reported.
According to court filings, the DJ didn’t want to pay Letourneau any spousal support and wanted her to pay any debt in her name.
But now, it might not be over for the star-crossed pair!
