Gaby Roblin, 56, presented The Big Breakfast on Channel 4 with Chris Evans, 55, from 1992 to 1994. Following his departure, she continued hosting the show with his replacement Mark Little until 1996. Ahead of the show’s upcoming 30th anniversary, she discussed how she believes their antics wouldn’t be allowed in current times and how broadcasting isn’t the same anymore.
At one point during their time together, Chris told viewers that his co-star had Pre-Menstrual Tension.
Gaby said she found the remark funny at the time, but some of their fans were less than impressed.
She spilled: “I remember we started the show and Chris said, ‘Gaby’s got PMT,’ and people went mad and said, ‘It’s disgusting that he’s talking about that’.
“But I was like, ‘Why? Why is it disgusting that he talked about it?’
“I did have PMT, so what’s the problem? We definitely aired a few things you would not see today.”
Off-camera, the presenter also confessed to Chris that she had a “sex dream” about him.
Much to her surprise at the time, he decided to tell listeners.
“Imagine that on BBC Breakfast today,” she continued, adding she believes television nowadays is missing “irreverent, crazy, talk/everything” shows.
The mother-of-two said fans still ask her about her admission and whether the pair were ever more than friends, which she denies.
Following her departure from the show, Johnny Vaughn and Denise Van Outen took over.
Next year will mark the programme’s 30th anniversary and Gaby hopes she’ll be called back for a reunion.
However, she noted she doesn’t think editors would allow her and Chris to work on the show together again.

Back in April, she reunited with her former co-star as she stepped in for Kate Lawler on Virgin Radio.
At the time, she said: “I’m so scared! I’m properly nervous about it. I’m nerv-cited is what we always say.
“It’s the best feeling in the world being nerv-cited.”
On always being upbeat, she added: “I don’t like reigning it in. I’ve never reigned it in.
“I have to say doing my duvet this morning, I realised that madness and daftness will never leave me because every time I change my duvet cover I sing.”
Chris fronts the station’s weekday Breakfast show, which he joined in 2019.
He previously presented BBC Radio 2’s morning show, now fronted by Zoe Ball.
Gaby added she is still really close to her co-star, adding to The Sun: “We still speak most days. My husband thinks me and Chris have a telepathic understanding.”
