The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame has launched a new podcast featuring induction speeches made by music icons over the years.
The first four episodes of the podcast series, called the “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Vault,” feature Mick Jagger inducting The Beatles in 1988, Kendrick Lamar inducting N.W.A. in 2016, Jimmy Buffett inducting The Eagles in 1998 and Harry Styles inducting Stevie Nicks in 2019.
The second batch of four “Induction Vault” episodes will begin on November 13, followed by more episodes every Friday.
“Over the past 35 years, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction Ceremonies have become renowned for their impassioned and sometimes outrageous acceptance speeches,” said Conal Byrne, president of the iHeartPodcast Network for iHeartMedia.
He added, “We’re thrilled to bring the most iconic moments of past and present music infamy to fans around the world and continue to share what’s made the event special in the past and for years to come.”
The podcast launched before this year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which took place virtually and aired on HBO and HBO Max on Saturday.
Depeche Mode, The Doobie Brothers, Whitney Houston, Nine Inch Nails, The Notorious B.I.G., T. Rex and Ahment Ertegun Award honorees Jon Landau and Irving Azoff were among the inductees this year.
