Mark Ruffalo responds to being 'fired' for revealing Avengers 4 title

Mark Ruffalo has responded to the Russo Brothers ‘firing’ him after he revealed the Avengers 4 title over the weekend.

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ruffalo was asked if he had anything new to share about the highly anticipated Infinity War sequel, leading him to supposedly announce the super-secret title, which was bleeped out.

And after contacting Fallon on Twitter about his “spoiler slip”, the Russos replied with a simple: “Mark, you’re fired”. The Hulk actor has now replied with: “Guys… can we talk about this?”

Now, of course, the whole thing is an extended gag about the fact that Ruffalo has previously been a bit loose with Avengers spoilers, such as revealing the entire ending to Infinity War over a year before its release.

But that hasn’t stopped Trailer Track‘s Anton Volkov from examining the chat show bleeps and working out that what Ruffalo said sounds like, “The Last Avenger“.

If this somehow turned out to be the actual title, it would be a surprise as it’s not been among the numerous rumours – such as Avengers: Annihilation and Avengers: End Game – that have been making the rounds.

Previously, Marvel boss Kevin Feige revealed that we’d have to wait for Avengers 4‘s title until after the Captain Marvel teaser launched.

Well, we’ve had that teaser, so the title could technically drop any moment now…

Avengers: Infinity War is out now on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download. Avengers 4 will be released in the UK on April 26, 2019, and in the US on May 3, 2019.
