Next year’s arachnid blockbuster sequel Spider-Man: Far from Home is shaping up nicely, as the production films in Venice.
With Samuel L Jackson’s eye-patch-wearing Nick Fury back in action for this movie, we’ve been given a first look at the character himself – alongside Tom Holland’s Peter Parker – from the Italian set.
It should be noted that while it IS the SHIELD boss, it appears to be a stunt double for Jackson, with the individual in question riding the world famous Venetian waterways under some heavy clothing.
The snap doesn’t give too much away in terms of story teasers, but we’re sure that the beautiful city of Venice won’t just be used for casual, throwaway purposes. Are we going to see an aquatic showdown of some kind?
Such theories would tie in perfectly with those recent whispers concerning the villainous Hydro-Man making an appearance.
Along with the Pulp Fiction legend, it’s already been confirmed that Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan will be back for the sequel, with Jake Gyllenhaal’s rumoured Mysterio incarnation all but set in stone following some recent set leaks.
Michael Keaton and Zendaya are expected to reprise their roles from the first film too.
Cameos are also a huge part of the modern MCU, with actress Cobie Smulders reportedly attached to show up at some point during the movie as Agent Maria Hill.
Spider-Man: Far from Home will be released on July 5, 2019.
