BBC The One Show presenter Alex Jones has taken to social media to reveal that she is in hospital being "monitored" as she prepares to welcome her third child – a baby girl.
Alex, 44, took to Instagram at 3am on Saturday morning to update fans from her hospital bed.
She explained how she is being "monitored" in hospital due to being heavily pregnant with her daughter, who she is expecting with husband Charlie Thomson.
The BBC One presenter recently left The One Show for maternity leave at the start of the month.
In her Instagram posts she hinted that she might be closer to labour than everyone thought.
Alex's husband Charlie took a selfie of himself and his wife, which saw her grinning as she relaxed in a hospital bed.
Alex looked at ease as she laid back with a monitoring band placed around her stomach.
Updating her 330,000 followers, Alex wrote: "Just been brought in to have a bit of monitoring… nothing exciting so far."
Alex's update comes just days after she took to social media to show off her huge baby bump claiming that there's "not much room left in there".
