Carol Vorderman ditched her luxury home for £40k van

Carol Vorderman, 61, is best known as the former queen of Countdown but now she has joined the Celebrity Gogglebox team.

She has been stunning fans with her ageless beauty for years, recently sharing snaps of her travels across the UK.

She is enjoying these journeys thanks to her decision to leave her lavish home and move into a campervan.

It’s a trend more people are choosing these days, and Carol is doing it in style, dropping tens of thousands to convert the van into a luxury home on wheels.

She regularly shares updates on her Instagram account, with her over 200,000 following loving going on the travels with her.

What does Carol Vorderman's campervan look like?

Carol has made the decision to uproots and venture across the UK.

Leaving her £2.6million Bristol home behind has allowed her to easily afford to soup-up her van and make it as comfortable as possible.

She has been regularly sharing updates on her progress with it after she first unveiled the campervan in February, even creating a new Instagram page called @vordersvan.

Showing off a pictures of her new set of wheels, she wrote: “Van alert… My baby @vordersvan is on her way from @volkstrek with her new wheels…

“Just look at the raised chassis on that one then….booommmmm….

“Next stop is Wayne and Jade at @vanlifebuilds to make her glorious for me and my adventures…

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGFHHHHHHH I'M SO EXCITED.”

Most recently, she finally gave followers a look inside her van, showing off a two-floor interior complete with neon lights and an open top roof.

Carol captioned the images, writing: “Sneak peek of our @vordervan courtesy of the incredible @vanlifebuilds

“…..we've been waiting for some unusual supplies which as you know are currently taking so so long. But she's ready. And she's a stunner….”

The van is is using can cost up to £46,000 with the additions she is adding to it likely setting her back much more.

Does Carol Vorderman still have a home?

Even though she sold her Bristol mansion, Carol hasn’t completely given up a brick and mortar residence quite yet.

She also has a home in Pembrokeshire, Wales, which is now her main base of operations, outside of the roving van.

Previously, it was just her second home, but it seems it was too beautiful to get rid of entirely.

Boasting panoramic, rooftop balconies which overlooks the stunning Welsh coastline, it is an idyllic home for anyone.
