Critics’ Choice Awards fans baffled at Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s x-rated speech

English actress and writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge turned the air blue in front of some of the biggest names in Hollywood this evening.

The television star, 34, took home the best actress in a comedy series going for Fleabag tonight at the Critics' Choice Awards .

She revealed that she’d lost her voice from all the celebrating, after winning the same award at the Golden Globes last week.

Accepting the award at the lavish ceremony, Phoebe said: “This has been an unbelievable week topping it off has given me a really sexy voice.

She went on to say that Fleabag was one of the “best experiences I’ve probably ever had working on this show” exclaiming it was amazing “a show about a very lonely own” had landed her “a load of friends”.

The actress managed to turn the air blue leaving award show bosses bleeping out the x-rated moment which was silenced by censors.

Viewers watching from the comfort of their own home were left baffled about what was going on.

Fans watching on television heard “If I ever imagined in a million years I’ve got up here.”

But audience members in the room heard that sentence ending “getting things like this for writing a character who looks at the camera and says f**k me up the a*s”.

She added: “So thank you for getting behind that.”

Fans rushed to their keyboards to discuss the bizarre moment.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: “Phoebe Waller-Bridge just said “f**k me up the a*s”, live, in the CW, at what? Is it 5pm PST right now? Give her another award."
