Emmerdale‘s Michelle Hardwick celebrated National Coming Out Day earlier this week by sharing that she’s just as lucky in love as her on-screen character Vanessa Woodfield.
The actress went through a rough period in her personal life last year when she split from wife Rosie Nicholl, but revealed an Instagram post on Thursday (October 12) that she’s found love again with Emmerdale producer Kate Brooks.

The Instagram post was met was overwhelming support, with fans telling the two that they were “both so lovely”, calling them a “gorgeous couple” and celebrating that “love is all over” their faces.
Emmerdale viewers have seen Hardwick’s character Vanessa experiencing similar happiness recently, when her and girlfriend Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) finally declared their love for each other.
Her partner Kate Brooks’s professional life is just as exciting. ITV announced in April that Brooks and Emmerdale script producer Laura Shaw would be promoted to share the title of series producers for the show.
Under their watch, Emmerdale has just finished off a hugely successful event week that featured the return of classic soap villain Kim Tate and the heartbreaking departure of fan-favourite character Joe Tate.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
