Foo Fighters Put Weekend Los Angeles Show on Hold After Positive Covid-19 Test

Dave Grohl and his bandmates have been forced to halt their scheduled concert this coming weekend after one of their crew members tested positive for Covid-19.

AceShowbizFoo Fighters have postponed an upcoming Los Angeles concert after a member of their crew tested positive for Covid-19.

Just hours after the bandmates announced plans for their first shows in Alaska on Thursday (14Jul21), Dave Grohl and company were putting a sold out Los Angeles show on ice.

“Despite having made every effort to follow CDC Covid protocols and local laws, there has been a confirmed Covid-19 case within the FOO FIGHTERS organization,” a statement reads.

“Out of an abundance of caution and concern for the safety of the band, crew and most of all the fans, Saturdays show at the Los Angeles Forum is being postponed to a later date. The new date will be announced shortly.”

The concert was billed as the first full-capacity show at the iconic venue in more than a year.

The group played a sold-out show on 20 June (21) at New York’s Madison Square Garden. All ticket buyers had to be vaccinated before they were granted entry to the venue.

They played the legendary venue for what marked the first full-capacity show in New York City since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. They were joined special guest Dave Chappelle during the show.

Grohl said prior to the gig, “We’ve been waiting for this day for over a year. And Madison Square Garden is going to feel that HARD. New York, get ready for a long ass night of screaming our heads off together to 26 years of Foos.”
