Holly Willoughby fans gush over her ‘lookalike mum’ as she celebrates turning 73

They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and for presenter Holly Willoughby and her lookalike mother Lynn, this certainly appears to be the case, as fans couldn't help notice their striking resemblance.

Celebrating her mother's 73rd birthday on Monday, Holly, 40, took to Instagram to share an adorable clip of Lynn blowing out a candle while seated inside a restaurant.

Mother of three Holly and her older sister Kelly, 43, took advantage of the easing of Britain's lockdown restrictions and treated their mummy to a birthday lunch.

Holly's mum Lynn looked as radiant as ever as she wore a blue polka dot dress and added fiery red lipstick to the overall look.

Captioning the post, the This Morning presenter wrote: "Happy birthday beautiful mamma [bear emoji]…love you."

Holly fan's and her celebrity chums loved what they saw and took to the comment section to wish her mum all the best.

Davina McCall said: "Happy Birthday Holly's Mumma."

While former X Factor presenter Kate Thornton chimed: "Happy birthday Lynn! And I'll have whatever you're having, you look incredible."

Spice Girl, Emma Bunton penned: "Happy birthday mama!! Sending lots of birthday hugs."

Others couldn't help but notice how stunning Lynn looked and how closely she resembled her daughter Holly.

One fan exclaimed: "Can see where you get your looks!"

While another quipped: "Wow Holly u look so much like your mum, hope she had a lovely day."

"Ah, you look so much like your mum. Enjoy the birthday celebrations xx," a third said.

In February, to mark her 40th birthday, Holly paid homage to her mother and wore the same dress that her mum previously wore in her 40th year.

Taking to Instagram to flaunt the floral dress, alongside an image of her mum wearing it too, Holly captioned the post: "This photo of my Mum was taken on her 40th birthday at the party she had in the garden. I remember this day so clearly.

"It's a strange thing to reach the age you remember your Mum being! …I asked her if she'd kept the dress and of course she had… Strange moment zipping it up this morning, wondering how she felt on her big day…

"I can't be with my Mum or Dad today but wearing this in her honour makes me feel closer to them… love you Mumma!"
