Plans for Dancing on Ice star John Barrowman to star in panto have been scrapped just weeks after he admitted to lewd behaviour on the sets of Doctor Who and Torchwood.
The TV star, 54, was due to perform in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Bristol Hippodrome this Christmas.
But we can reveal he has pulled out of playing The Wicked Queen in the production in a shock move.
It means he will miss out on a six-figure pay packet.
Reps for John last night said he has quit the show because its four-week run clashes with new dates for his UK tour.
A spokesman told the Daily Star Sunday: “John’s concert tour has been rescheduled, owing to the knock-on effect of lockdowns.
“This means he has sadly had to withdraw from pantomime commitments this year. His tour will be announced later this month.”
Bosses at the Bristol Hippodrome are said to be “relieved” John is no longer starring in the show because they feared his involvement would cause controversy.
John has been hit by a backlash in recent weeks after admitting he behaved badly around co-stars in the past.
It is claimed he has played inappropriate pranks that involved him exposing his private parts.
In an apology, John said: “With the benefit of hindsight, I understand that upset may have been caused by my exuberant behaviour.”
The singer has been axed from the judging panel of Dancing on Ice, according to TV insiders.
MP Alec Shelbrooke claimed ITV has no choice but to ditch him.
He said: “Inappropriate behaviour like this is not acceptable no matter what the circumstances.
“Dancing On Ice is a family show and ITV shouldn’t be willing to indulge this behaviour in any way.”
An ITV spokesman has said: “Any discussions regarding the 2022 series of Dancing On Ice are very premature.”
John has since spoken out since his apology to thank his fans for their support, saying: "Hi everybody it's John here and I just want to say thank you very much to all of my fan family and everybody who has reached out with the countless messages of support over the last few weeks.
"It has meant such a great deal to me and has really touched me to know that people are supporting me and standing by me and sending their love and all their appreciation and kind words."
