Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings premiered in theaters in 2021. This production introduced viewers to the newest addition to the MCU and his unique family.

Shang-Chi also came with an original soundtrack featuring award-winning musicians, now available on most major streaming platforms. 

“All the artists that were on this record are our friends, people that we’ve always wanted to do things with, and have really great relationships with,” executive producer Sean Miyashiro said during an interview with Yonhap.

“When we talk about DPR Ian, DPR Live, BIBI, and Seori, they are extremely talented and some of the fastest-growing Korean artists that are paving the way for the next generation,” he continued. “So yeah, everything happened quite naturally.”

Guardians of the Galaxy is known for its eclectic 1970s-themed soundtrack. Black Panther: The Album, inspired by Marvel’s film, was created by Kendrick Lamar and featured well-known artists like SZA, Travis Scott, and 2 Chainz. 

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: The Album also became a fan-favorite soundtrack of many Marvel fans.

Based on Spotify streams, “Run It” by DJ Snake, Rich Brian, and Rick Ross is the most popular. It currently has over 16 million plays. This song was featured in some promotional clips for the Marvel production — that’s in addition to its inclusion at a pinnacle moment in Shang Chi’s story.

Jhené Aiko and Swae Lee created an official music video for the song “In the Dark,” which is also on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: The Album. This track currently has over 11 million Spotify plays.

Simu Liu was featured on one song from ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings: The Album’

Liu starred as the title character in this Marvel original, showcasing his singing skills with impromptu karaoke moments. This actor is also a singer and appeared on “Hot Soup” for the official Shang Chi soundtrack.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be available to all Disney+ subscribers on Nov. 12. Until then, already-released Marvel movies, including Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Winter Soldier, and Iron Man, as well as original shows like Loki, are available for binge-watching.
