Tamzin Outhwaite says she feels sexier than ever with toyboy partner Tom Child

Tamzin Outhwaite says she feels "sexier than ever" with her boyfriend who is more than 20 years younger than her.

The 51-year-old actress has been in a relationship with 30-year-old documentary maker Tom Child for almost five years.

Speaking to Gabby Logan on The Mid-Point podcast, Tamzin revealed how different she feels now than during her eight-year marriage with actor Tom Ellis.

She said: “I feel like there was always some hormonal imbalance going on, with childbirth, or miscarriage or whatever and not going full term with babies.

“So I feel like I was either pregnant, trying to get pregnant, just post-pregnancy for a lot of that marriage. So I wouldn’t say that I was the best version of myself.”

The former EastEnders star described how her current relationship with Tom, who is also a fitness instructor, enhances her life.

“I really have never felt sexier," she said. "And I think that’s because [Tom] really gets that about me, that I’m in a stage in my life where I’m really comfortable and I’m really happy.

"And I adore him, we have a wonderful time. But if he wasn’t around, I wouldn’t be in the corner, on the floor, sliding down walls, crying.

"I would still have my complete life and he just enhances that, and that’s what’s lovely.”

Tamzin's marriage to Ellis, who stars in Netflix show Lucifer, ended in 2014 after the Miranda actor had an affair with Lost actress Emilie de Ravin.

The ex-soap star, who is currently appearing in Wim Hoff's Freeze The Fear hosted by Lee Mack and Holly Willoughby, also said she doesn't strive to be "relevant" in her acting career anymore.

She said: “I don’t feel like it’s important to be relevant or at the forefront of drama or television. I feel like I’m at a place where I’m in my own skin, very happy.

"The gratitude that I feel for even coming this far in this industry is so huge and I feel like yes, I know I’ve worked hard but I’ve also had luck.

"I don’t feel like this industry owes me.”
