BBC's Naga Munchetty hosted the early morning news programme BBC Breakfast with co-host Charlie Stayt but scolded him after he made a request to one of their guests.
The two presenters welcomed representatives from a youth boxing club onto the show and discussed the unfortunate rise in their rent prices.
The boys told Naga and Charlie about how much the club has benefitted them from falling into a "particular lifestyle" and explained how boxing has shaped their lives.
As they closed up the interview, Charlie made a request: "I really feel like one of you should punch that punchbag, just so we can prove- can someone just go and punch the punchbag for me? I can see it on the left, behind you."
Naga scolded him and said: "No! They haven't got gloves, to keep your hands safe!"
The group laughed and the interview ended with Charlie and Naga back in the studio.
He said he reckoned that "if they went back there," it would be "furiously busy with training," to which Naga sarcastically replied: "Well, yeah, and they would have gloves on! You know, they are hard?"
