Bridgerton is a brand new series coming to Netflix and it has been created by Grey’s Anatomy star, Shonda Rhimes. 

The series is due to land on the streaming platform on Christmas Day, December 25, so fans can look forward to some festive entertainment. 

Bridgerton follows the character Daphne Bridgerton (played by Phoebe Dynevor), who is the eldest daughter of the Bridgerton family. 

She is just started her journey in Regency London’s competitive marriage market. and she hopes to find true love like her parents. 

But her older brother wants only the best for her and the family, and he is keen to rule out any suitors who do not live up to standard.

The series has already been described as “romantic and scandalous” by Netflix, and it is a story about family and friendships and the familiar phrase ‘love conquers all’.  

Fans may be interested to hear the series is based on Julia Quinn’s novels of the same name.

Julie Andrews, who fans will recognise as the original Mary Poppins, will provide the voice of Lady Whistledown.
