Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor is unrecognisable as a teen in Waterloo Road alongside Jenna Coleman

BRIDGERTON actress Phoebe Dynevor may be familiar to British viewers – as she was in Waterloo Road with Jenna Coleman.

The 25-year-old began her acting career in the drama at the age of just 14, playing the role of Siobhan Mailey.

Eagle eyed fans soon realised they had seen Phoebe before, who donned the Waterloo Road school uniform as a fresh-faced teen.

Phoebe featured in the series alongside Jenna Coleman, who played Lindsay James and now stars in The Serpent on BBC.

The pair's teenage characters got up to plenty of mischief together and featured in big scenes.

Phoebe leads the cast of Bridgerton where she stars alongside Simon Basset star Regé-Jean Page, who also featured in the popular BBC TV series in 2015 as Guy Braxton.

Another familiar face in the Netflix period drama is Ruth Gemmell, who plays Lady Violet Bridgerton.

She starred as Tracey Beaker's mum in 2004 movie Tracey Beaker Movie of Me.

Away from the camera, Phoebe lives quite a glamorous life, as shown from her Instagram page which boats over 550,000 followers.

She is clearly well-travelled as she has not only topped up her tan to go snorkelling and wrapped up warm to go skiing, but also jetted off to the New York City with a friend to take in the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple.

While Phoebe's stock has certainly risen since starring in Bridgerton, she is used to the glitz and glam after taking part in numerous photo shoots.

She recently donned the cover of Glamour magazine, where she spoke about women's empowerment, and Grazia magazine where she was touted as one of 2021's brightest stars.

Last month Sally Dynevor said she couldn't be happier for her daughter Phoebe after landing the lead role in the new Netflix series.

The actress, who has played her namesake Sally Metcalfe on Coronation Street since 1986, told the Mirror: “I just want to say I’m very proud of Phoebe and as a family, we are so excited to see Bridgerton on Christmas Day.”
