CORONATION Street star Lisa George has revealed that her character Beth Sutherland is about to uncover a shocking secret that her son Craig is being betrayed.
In dramatic scenes to be seen on the show soon, Lisa has admitted that Beth will find herself in a compromising position when she is forced to keep Faye Windass' (Ellie Leach) secret in order to cover her own back.
Viewers of the ITV soap will know that Beth has been meeting up with her former flame Marco in secret after reconnecting with him online.
Although it has so far been platonic, Beth has been desperate to keep the meet-ups hidden from her beloved husband Kirk and has only confided in Glenda Shuttleworth about what she is up to.
Beth eventually comes to the conclusion that she doesn't feel anything other than friendship with Marco after seeing him once again.
It appears that Marco may not feel the same way however after a charged moment between the pair leads him to kiss her on the lips.

But for Beth, keeping her secret hidden is about to become a whole lot more complicated when she discoversher son Craig Tinker is being played at the same game by his girlfriend Faye.
During one of her and Marco's private meetings, Beth claps eyes on Faye doing the same thing with Jackson, the father of their daughter Miley.
Faye has been keeping it all a secret from Craig.
Speaking of the story, former Dancing on Ice star Lisa said: "It's hard for Beth because she's worrying about her own situation, but she's also worried about Craig.

"She is desperate to keep her meeting with Marco a secret but can only do that if she keeps Faye's secret too, so it is a real dilemma."
Lisa continued: "Both Beth and Faye beg each other to keep the secret.
"She would do anything for Craig, but she is also quite selfish when it comes down to it. And of course she doesn't know that she was spotted at the precinct anyway, so back home the truth might well be coming out."
The actress also opened up about her own character's feelings about betraying husband Kirk.
She added: "I feel quite sorry for her really, as she has finally realised she's made a mistake and has told Marco that she doesn't feel the same way, but it's too late because she's been seen and it's only a matter of time before Kirk finds out."
Will the secrets remain hidden or will Beth be forced to reveal all in order to protect her son?
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV1 at 8pm.
