Fiz Staple (played by Jennie McAlpine) could be set for heartbreak when she makes her return to Coronation Street as the arrival of a newcomer puts strain on her relationship with Tyrone Dobbs (Alana Halsall).
The Coronation Street star recently returned to filming after being on maternity leave and it looks like the ITV soap has let Jennie dive straight into a juicy storyline.
After a number of worrying incidents, Fiz decided it was best to leave the cobbles in search of specialist help in Birmingham, for her daughter Hope (Isabella Flanagan).
Despite catching Hope trying to push her cousin Joseph down the stairs, the concerned mother didn’t want to accept her daughter’s behaviour and it wasn’t until the youngest was caught biting Tyrone’s daughter Ruby (Macy Alabi) that she decided to get help.
However when she returns to the Street, she’ll have even more to worry about as a newcomer may catch Tyrone’s eye.
Teaching assistant Jade (Lottie Henshall) will help tutor Hope and eventually move in with the family which will put a massive strain on Fiz and Tyrone’s relationship.
Discussing the upcoming storyline, a TV insider told The Sun: “Jade arrives as a teaching assistant from Birmingham. who Fiz asks to help Hope readjust and settle back into the family home.
“As Hope loves Jade, Fiz invites her to stay and tutor her daughter. Her character drives a wage between Tyrone and Fiz after she moves in with them.”
After forgiving Tyrone once before for spending the night with Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell), it’s unlikely Fiz will be able to get past a second betrayal.
Is this the end for the couple or will Tyrone resist temptation and prove his loyalty to Fiz?

New arrival Lottie confirmed she was joining the ITV soap on social media as she tweeted: “News travels fast ey!
“But yessy, it’s true. I’ll be playing Jade in Coronation Street. I can’t wait to be walking the cobbles everyday and having a pint in the Rovers. Cheers!”
Meanwhile Coronation Street star Jennie revealed to her fans she would be returning to the cobbles with an Instagram post.
The ITV soap star posted a picture of a mug of tea and a bunch of new Coronation Street scripts with the caption: “Friday night reading. Hoping it’s just like riding a bike.”
Fiz was last seen in Weatherfield at the end of last year and has now returned to filming after the birth of her second child, Hilda.
Elsewhere, Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) may lose her battle with cancer later in the year and die in heartbreaking scenes on Christmas Day.
The Coronation Street star confirmed her exit earlier in the year and it has since been reported by The Sun that the door won’t be left open for the star.
Now, fans have speculated over when Sinead will exit the soap with many suggesting she will die on Christmas Day.
One explained: “As Sinead gets the all clear last night on #Corrie I think it comes back at the 3 months scan or she collapses before her next scan and the cancer has returned. The doctor tells her that she has a few months to live she dies at with family at her bedside on the Xmas episode.”
Another added: Another added: “Sinead is gonna die on Christmas day isn’t she #corrie.”
Coronation Street continues Monday on ITV at 7.30pm.
