Corrie Spoilers: Ray Crosby attacks Faye Windass amid bulldozer horror

Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that Ray Crosby will attack Faye Windass in a horrifying upcoming plot.

In the iconic soap's 60th anniversary week, three one hour episodes will bring stories to a gripping climax and launch new ones to take us into 2021 and beyond.

The centre of the anniversary week for the soap is Coronation Street itself as the residents will unite to save the beloved cobbles from Ray.

Corrie's anniversary also sees Faye face a horrifying ordeal as Ray crosses the line and attacks her.

Having bought up most of the property and business in Weatherfield, Ray is back to his old tricks as he plans to flatten them all to make way for his new development.

Viewers will see Ken unwittingly reveal to Debbie how this afternoon they'll be lodging an application to have the brewery listed, meaning they'll save it from the bulldozer.

When Debbie warns Ray about the residents' plans to prevent the knocking down of the brewery, Ray resolves to demolish it this afternoon before they lodge their application.

Abi, Kevin, Brian, Cathy, David, Ken, Rita and Shona watch with horror as a bulldozer heads towards the brewery.

Ray gives them a satisfied grin, but his smile soon vanishes when he discovers the characters won't let him get away with his plan that easily.

The residents set up camp in front of the brewery and Rita leads them in a rousing rendition of 'We shall not be Moved'.

In other scenes, the residents celebrate halting the progress of the bulldozer after they camp outside of the brewery.

Sadly, their happiness is quickly diminished when a gigantic long-arm digger turns up.

Debbie phones Ray in a panic, and the protestors are outraged as workers start to dismantle their camp.

As Ken stands in the bulldozer's path Abi jumps into the cab of the digger in a bid to stop the workmen in their tracks.

However, she loses control of the long arm and it smashes down on a nearby substation, knocking out all the power in the surrounding streets.

Kevin is baffled as to how Ray got wind of their plans – is the game up for Debbie?

In other scenes, a flattered Faye puts aside any misgivings and, in the bistro, agrees to join Ray for a drink in the office.

Gary enters the bistro with the signed factory contract for Ray.

Hearing a terrified Faye's muffled cries from the office, Gary orders Ray to open the door.

Faye emerges in tears, her blouse torn, and flees. Incensed, Gary goes after her.

At their flat, Gary and Maria try to comfort Faye but she clams up, refusing to take any action against Ray.

Coronation Street continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on ITV.
