EastEnders fans work out who overheard Suki and Eve’s affair chat – and it’s not Nish

EastEnders fans think they may have worked out who overheard Suki Panesar and Eve Unwin’s conversation about their affair as their romance is on the brink of being revealed.

Suki (Balvinder Sopal) is married to Nish, who served 20 years in prison for murdering a man who thought she’d had an affair with – but Eve (Heather Peace) has been begging her ex lover to leave her husband.

Suki has since decided to suppress her evident feelings for Eve, and has agreed to renew her marriage vows to Nish (Navin Chowdhry) following his release from prison last year.

Thursday night’s episode of the popular BBC soap saw Eve ask Suki to reconsider her pending marriage blessing, but the mum-of-four told her to “stop making it harder than it already is”.

Eve then tried to kiss Suki, but she pulled away and insisted she wouldn’t cheat on her husband.

Noting that she already had, the former flames heard the front door as they realised someone had been listening in.

It’s likely the two women will fear that Nish is the one to have heard them, but EastEnders fans think otherwise.

One fan tweeted: "Pretty sure that it was Ash that saw suki and eve and heard what was said," while another wrote: "I've just watched tonight's #EastEnders- I wonder who overheard Suki & Eve at the Panesars' house? I don't think it was Nish. I think it might have been Vinny or Ash?"

Someone else echoed similar sentiments saying that it would “make sense” that it was Ash to have overheard the private chat as she’s set to leave next week.

It was revealed in January that Ash (played by Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) would beleaving Walford after four years on the show.

Confirming the news at the time, BBC said in a statement: "We can confirm that Gurlaine will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish her all of the best for the future.”

Ash will exit Walford next week after landing a job in Canada – leaving her mum in danger.

Nish tells his wife that she needs to try to convince their daughter to stay, but Suki decides not to go through with his plan because she wants Ash to be able to spread her wings.

However, fans now think Suki doesn’t stop Ash going because she’s the one to have heard her conversation with Eve and now knows about her secret affair…

EastEnders continues weeknights at 7:30pm on BBC One.
