EastEnders airs special flashforward scene for Christmas 2023
EastEnders fans have ‘worked out’ Keanu Taylor (played by Danny Walters) will be the Walford man who dies at Christmas.
Since the BBC soap aired a flash-forward scene in February showing six of Walford’s women standing in The Vic over an unknown body, fans have been searching for clues everywhere.
The only thing that’s certain is the victim is a man because Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) was seen kneeling down and announcing: “He’s dead”.
It was revealed this week Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) will be leaving Walford after six years on the Square, and some have pieced this information together with the flash-forward to predict Karen’s son Keanu, who was engaged to Sharon until recently, dies.
Taking to Reddit, _Anonymous_one posted: “Changed my mind about the Christmas Day death!

“I think it’s Keanu now! Seeing as though Karen has been axed, I reckon she will leave after another one of her kids dies, feeling like Albert Square is cursed or something.”
They added: “I didn’t mind him first time round he was harmless, but now I think Keanu is an absolute s*** character and he has become really super nasty and dodgy.
“There’s no way such an unlikeable character was brought back for more than a year, and he’s not a good enough character to be a big loss if he dies.
“I think the reason Sharon says he’s dead so calmly is either 1) they’re trying to throw us off scent that it’s not him 2) she hates his guts by then so doesn’t really give a s*** or 3) she’s in shock.”

The fan concluded: “The only thing is I don’t think his character deserves this much hype and attention about this if it is him, but it actually fits and seeing as though he seems to be a leading man atm, maybe the producer disagrees.”
Others have also echoed this theory, with Twitter user @Melissa7Aimee writing: “The fact that Karen is leaving means it’s Keanu that dies at Christmas.
“Chantelle is dead. Kegan is gone so that’ll be her exit storyline. It also explains Sharon’s reaction in the flash forward. #EastEnders.”
EastEnders continues on Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
