Asan N'Jie has made his return to television almost two years after being sacked from Emmerdale.
The 26 year old was fired from the hit ITV soap in 2019 after a tense brawl with Jamie Lomas at the TV Choice Awards.
He played Ellis Chapman on the show, but was replaced by Aaron Anthony shortly after his dismissal.
But fans of the actor were delighted to see him return to their screens on Sunday night in BBC One's latest crime drama.

Bloodlands viewers quickly noticed that Asan was playing the role of Larry, and appeared within the first two minutes of the series' first episode.
Lead actor James Nesbitt's character Tom Brannick was seen meeting his daughter Izzy at a bar, and was introduced to her love interest Larry, played by Asan.
Clearly delighted, viewers rushed to social media to announce they had spotted Asan on screens.
One wrote: "Great to see @AsanNjie aka the real Ellis Chapman on tv again."
A second wrote: "Good to see @AsanNjie given another opportunity." while another simply said: "Original Ellis from emmerdale! [sic]"
A final viewer asked: "Is that the actor who used to be in Emmerdale? The one who was sacked?"

Asan's sacking from Emmerdale was confirmed in September 2019, with a spokesperson for the soap telling OK! online at the time: "Emmerdale suspended Asan N'Jie yesterday pending further investigation into an incident at a central London hotel on Monday night.
"ITV executives have met with him this morning and as a consequence Asan's contract has been terminated with immediate effect."
Bloodlands continues Sundays at 9pm on BBC One.
