Emmerdale hints at Joe Tate tragedy as Cain Dingle violently attacks him

Emmerdale has kept fans guessing over the fate of Joe Tate after he was viciously attacked by Cain Dingle.

Thursday night’s first episode (October 11) saw Joe arrive back in the village after realising that he couldn’t go through with walking out on his fiancé Debbie Dingle.

Joe’s return proved far more dramatic than he was expecting, as Debbie’s fearsome father Cain punched him outside Home Farm.

Joe fell backwards and hit his head violently on a rock, leaving us all hanging over whether he’ll survive or not. Well, at least until Emmerdale returns for its second action-packed episode at 8pm tonight.

Cain was out for revenge after Joe sprung a surprise wedding on Debbie at the hospital, only to fail to turn up when it came to the crunch.

Earlier this week, viewers saw Joe briefly do a runner after Graham Foster warned that Kim Tate wanted him dead.

Kim has since discovered that Graham didn’t follow through with his promises to kill Joe, and now wants him to carry out her orders properly this time – or else she’ll hire a professional to do it instead.

Has Cain just saved Graham a job? Or is there still a chance Joe can make his escape?

Emmerdale continues at 8pm tonight and all will be revealed.
