Emmerdale spoilers: Tracy Metcalfe devastated as baby Frankie utters her first word

EMMERDALE mum Tracy Metcalfe is left devastated after her tot Frankie utters her very first word.

Viewers of the ITV soap saw Tracy give birth to her daughter back in February and the character, played by Amy Walsh, has struggled with her mental health ever since.

After her post natal depression saw her flee in a taxi Tracy returned to Dales life, yet was then left reeling when partner Nate Robinson appeared to cheat on her following a rowdy lads' night.

Upcoming Emmerdale scenes see the parents attempt to get things back on track when Belle Dingle helps Nate to plan a romantic date night.

Tracy walks into Nate's sweet plan and realises Belle has been deceptive to get her to attend.

Nate then pleads for another chance in a conversation which Tracy struggles with, before little Frankie interrupts.

She chants out her first word – 'dada' – leaving Tracy in turmoil and questioning her parenting skills.

On the other side of the room, Nate is understandably elated.

Boosted by his little girl's first word, he tells Belle his plan has failed and now it's Cain's turn to help to help him win his baby mamma back.

When Ellis accidentally revealed Nate wasn’t with him at the end of their boozy night, Tracy rounded on her boyfriend.

“Stop lying to me,” she said. “Where were you?”

Nate told her: “My phone was smashed so I couldn’t get a taxi and then this girl said I could use hers.

“Just this girl in a bar. She said I could use her landline but I collapsed on her sofa as soon as I got to her place.

“I swear to you nothing happened. I haven’t done anything Tracy.

“Nothing happened, you’ve got to believe me.”

But Tracy didn’t believe him – mainly because he had lied to her all day.

“You have been lying to me all day,” she said.

“And then you’ve brought me here to butter me up and lie to me some more when you knew the whole time you stayed at a girl’s house.

“And now you’re asking Ellis to cover for you.

“You can kip in a pig pen for all I care – as long as it’s away from me.”
