Gogglebox rich list reveals the stars who can make £2,000 per Instagram post

GOGGLEBOX stars aren't supposed to go on the celebrity circuit – which is why you've never seen Lee and Jenny on a red carpet.

But according to a new study, the Channel 4 hit's most popular people could be raking in mega-money without even leaving the sofa.

LoanPig ran the rule over the Gogglebox cast and revealed who could earn the most money if they promoted something in an Instagram post – and it's more than most Brits make all month.

Sophie and Pete

With their clever quips and savage takedowns, very few Goggleboxers are as popular as this brother and sister team.

But it's Sophie Sandiford who tops the table with the former Debenhams worker estimated to command an average £2,302 per post.

She takes the title thanks to her 461,000 followers – 82,000 more than her older brother Pete has.

That bumps the Blackpool lad, who works for an insurance firm, into second place meaning he can ask for up to £1,892 per post, according to experts.

Ellie and Izzi

Beauty workers Ellie and Izzi would be able to top up their incomes from making people look good if they posted promos on Instagram.

With 350,000 followers older sister Ellie can ask the most, commanding an estimated £1,747 per post.

Izzi, who recently revealed she has an interesting new job has 297,000 and is thought to be able to make £1,460 a go.

Stephen and Daniel

A little further down the table hairdresser Stephen Webb has piled on more than 37,000 new Instagram followers since the last series.

The 50-year-old hair guru is now estimated to be able to demand £803 per post thanks to his 161,000 followers.

However husband – and salon business partner – Daniel, with 39,200 could make a little less, at £332 a throw.

Tom & Julie Malone

The mum and dad in the Malone family have a joint account (see, he is an old romantic after all).

Together grumpy Tom – king of the Friday night facial expression – and wife Julie have 121,000 followers on Instagram thanks to their family feed.

And that means they could earn an impressive £612 per Instagram post, though of course they'd have to split between them.

Or spend it on that huge pile of French Fancies that's always within reaching distance on the show.

David & Shirley

Welsh couple David and Shirley Griffiths are Instagram regulars, often posting snaps of their pets or pictures of their holidays.

The Caerphilly couple, who were huge fans of the show before being signed up, hold down normal jobs too. He works as a cleaner while she has a role in retail.

They have 86,400 followers – which translates to estimated earnings of £590 per post. Tidy.

Giles and Mary

Not everyone is on such big bucks in the study, which was compiled using the Instagram influencer earnings calculator.

With only 27 followers (as of today's date) Giles Wood, husband of the brilliant Mary Killen and one of the show's funniest couples, can probably not earn much at all.

The study puts him and Mary's earning power at £0 – the same figure it gives to other stars include Sid Siqqiqui, who has 4,184 followers, and Paige Deville, with 6,369.
