Gordon Ramsay sparks Strictly judge theory as he’s spotted in crowd during show

Strictly Come Dancing fans took to social media to share a theory about Gordon Ramsay's appearance in the audience during Saturday night's show.

Gordon could be seen cheering on daughter Tilly Ramsay, as she performed first on the show alongside professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin.

Host Claudia Winkleman had earlier told viewers that the famous chef had flown in to watch Tilly's performance, as he and his daughter both share the same birthday of November 8.

However, viewers shared their own theory on social media, suggesting that Gordon was there to make the judge's comments nicer to Tilly.

One viewer said: "Anton more scared of Gordon Ramsey than the rest #strictly"

A second viewer said: "See Gordon is the 5th judge tonight" with a third adding: "Craig looked a bit nervous there with Gordon sat next to him #Strictly""

Other fans agreed with them, with one saying: "I really think the judges are overly nice to Tilly because her dad is Gordon Ramsey #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing"

However, after Tilly and Nikita performed, they scored a total of 29 out of 40, with judge Craig Revel Horwood calling some of their dance moves "sloppy."

Head judge Shirley Ballas also said that Tilly and Nikita were "a bit out of sync", but praised the couple, saying: " I think it's always difficult to come back from a dance-off but you did it very well."

Talking after their routine, Tilly spoke about dad Gordon Ramsay's presence in the audience, saying to Claudia Winkleman: "It was lovely to look over and see him smiling."

The couple have also previously wowed judges in recent weeks with their performances, including scoring 35 points with their Latin dance to Spooky Moves during the Halloween episode of the series.

During the performance, Tilly was dressed as the Bride of Frankenstein, while being painted bright green for the dance routine, landing third place on the leader board for the dancing duo.

However, much of the praise from this week's performances on Strictly were for Rose Ayling-Ellis and professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice, whose powerful dance routine left many viewers in tears.

Rose had previously explained that during the performance, she wanted to give a nod to the deaf community, and during their beautiful dance to Clean Bandit's Symphony, the band stopped playing and the ballroom went completely silent while the pair continued their dance in a special moment.

One fan said on social media: "Rose and Giovanni are such a dream team.

"I loved the emotional and powerful performance tonight. I love the beautiful sign language and definitely going to learn."
