Hollyoaks baddie Glenn Donovan’s reign of terror finally came to an end tonight after Grace Black and her WAG allies followed through on their murder plot against him.
After months of villainous behaviour – including emotionally abusing Grace and murdering his own son Adam – and after escaping justice many (many) times, Glenn’s luck ran out tonight (October 16) as Grace, Simone, Maxine and Courtney teamed up for a poison plot that could have come straight out of the pages of a crime thriller.
And actually did, to be fair – even if Maxine thought that Agatha Christie was the woman who worked on Price Slice on the weekend.
Yep, all the ladies who had been wronged by Glenn and his evil actions finally made sure that he could never hurt them again after they each poured a vial of poison into his beer glass at The Dog during his birthday party.
As it turns out, a pint of lager and poison isn’t actually all that good for you, and the extra ingredient ended up triggering a fatal heart attack in Glenn after he downed the pint in one.
Glenn later collapsed outside the pub as the poison took hold and his two surviving sons, Jesse and Liam, quickly called an ambulance, but it was too late for Glenn.
Jesse and Liam were left pretty devastated, but viewers were overjoyed to see Glenn finally get his comeuppance – and especially loved the thrilling twist that saw all the ladies join together to ensure Glenn’s demise.
The girls may have succeeded in their plot, but it looks like their secret is already in danger after Liam’s suspicions are piqued by Kim Butterfield’s behaviour – and the fact that he spotted one of her missing vials in a plant pot outside the pub.
We already know that Kim’s days in Chester are numbered – could she be about to go down for Glenn’s death?
