I’m A Celebrity 2020 LIVE – Shane Richie's son claims show is 'EDITED' to make his dad look bad after AJ Pritchard row

THE son of I'm A Celeb star Shane Richie claims the show is being selectively edited to make his dad look bad.

Ex Eastender Richie has been shown clashing with fellow contestant AJ Pritchard over camp cleaning duties in recent evenings, sparking a furious backlash against him on social media.

Now Richie's son, Shane Nolan, 28, is fuming over what was shown on screen, saying "'I know it’s a tv show but ur playing with peoples lives man".

"If there really is tension then I’m all for it. Or are you editing to cause tension? That’s what I can’t agree with. I know it’s telly but there's vile comments being thrown around and it’s not fair," he added.

Keep up to date with us all things I'm A Celeb in our live blog below…

Bushtucker trials have long been the highlight of I'm A Celebrity – and we have seen some gruesome challenges over the years.

But the trials aren't quite as spontaneous as you might think, with celebs being given the opportunity to practise elements of the challenges before they begin.

A castle source said: “The average viewer would assume that a celebrity walks from camp and goes straight into the trial without any heads up.

“In reality, they are told what they need to do, and in many cases shown how to do it and allowed to try and do it.

“It does remove some element of jeopardy, the idea that they know exactly how to escape, or unpick a lock, or release a bolt, before the cameras even start rolling.”

I'm A Celebrity star AJ Pritchard is showered with bugs in tonight's gruesome task – while he's taunted by Shane Richie.

The ex-EastEnders star tells the dancer: “You're going to mess you hair up. There goes the shampoo commercial.”

    He doesn't look very happy.

Welshman Kiosk Cledwyn is a new addition to I'm A Celebrity this year.

Stern-looking Cledwyn has taken over shop duties from Kiosk Kev – who was the shopkeeper when the ITV series took place in Australia.

When celebs are rewarded with treats from the Kiosk for completing challenges, stern-faced Cledwyn only lets them have the items if their camp members answer a question right.

A source told us: “ITV bosses are having a lot of fun with the tweaks being made to this year’s series, including the characters who’ve been on the show since it started in 2002.

“The name is a bit of an in-joke and is a nod to Cledwyn, who was the Secretary of State for Wales in the late Sixties.”

Shane Ritche's son has accused I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! bosses of deliberately editing the show in order to create “tension”.

Shane Nolan, 28, shared a clip from the programme of his dad and AJ clashed over cleaning duties.

Nolan wrote on social media: “I know it’s a tv show but ur playing with peoples lives man.

“If there really is tension then I’m all for it. Or are you editing to cause tension ? That’s what I can’t agree with. I know it’s telly but there's vile comments being thrown around and it’s not fair.”

Fans were outraged at Paralympian Hollie Arnold's “completely unfair” trial which saw her struggle into a dark tunnel with a heavy bucket.

The record-breaking parasport athlete was challenged to win stars for the camp in the grotty trial at North Wales' Gwrych Castle – despite co-star Russell Watson being exempt.

Those at home suggested the Paralympian, 26, who was born without her right forearm, should have been treated to a similar concession due to the darkness of her surroundings and heaviness of the bucket in the Wicked Waterways task.

I'm a Celeb star Shane Richie's son joked AJ Pritchard would “batter” his dad in a fight as the campmates' feud rumbles on.

Things have become increasingly prickly between the pair, with AJ agitated by Shane's efforts towards camp chores.

Last night the pair were chosen to do a Bushtucker trial together as tensions between them reached an all-time high.

AJ gave the actor daggers, after Shane threw his mess tin onto the floor and asked who was doing the washing up, knowing full well AJ would have to scrub it.

One of the celebs will be crowned the first King or Queen of the Castle – as opposed to the jungle.

And that decision will be made in a week, as the final has been confirmed to air on Friday, December 4.

The finale will air at 9pm on ITV and the episode will be one hour and 35 minutes long.

One fan predicted: “Omg first vote off tomorrow I can see it being Hollie imaceleb.”

A second shared: “Voteoff begins tomorrow. Russell and Ruthie gone quiet lately, might be in danger I think imacelebrity.”

Another said: “I think the voteoff will be between aj, gi and mbe! imaceleb.”

I'm A Celebrity will wave goodbye to its first campmate tonight.

Phone lines for the first elimination were opened last night – one week before the show finale.

Speaking in camp, Declan Donnelly said: “Right listen up because we've got big news. Tomorrow night the vote-offs begin, and voting is now open.

“You're voting for the celebrities you want to keep in the camp. We're back tomorrow when we reveal the first celebrity to leave.”

Viewers seem to think Hollie Arnold and Ruthie Henshall are most in danger.

Ant and Dec told spin-off show The Drop that they were worried about celebrities being too cold in the castle – as some can't warm up.

That includes after having a hot shower, controlled by a pump one of their camp mates has to operate.

Well, The Sun revealed that despite being told it had a gauge that must hit 200 before it can produce hot water, it is actually operated by producers.

A source said: “It doesn't matter how long they pump for, the bosses could turn it on or off in seconds at the flick of a switch.” operated by producers.

While Hollie might be the bookies favourite to go, her performance today might well edge her over the finish line.

Not only did she power through that trial – disastrous though it was – she also took on the Castle Coin challenge with Victoria Derbyshire.

And we got to see her covered in pink slime!

They had to take it in turns to read stories with a word missing.

Getting it wrong meant a messy punishment for the storyteller.

Their biggest mistake was, of course, picking jellybeans instead of gingerbread men, though.

Sadly all good things come to end and this special season of I'm A Celeb has just seven episodes left – with the first person leaving tomorrow.

Unfortunately it's Hollie Arnold who is most likely to be voted off, with odds of 10-11 to go.

Up next is West End star Ruthie Henshall, who doesn't seem particularly keen to stay, with 7-2 odds.

Then up next is EastEnders star Jessica Plummer – who took part in that amazing trial with Shane, but has 9-2 odds to leave.

I mentioned that AJ and Shane were frenemies and the tension was there for everyone to see in the morning.

Shane Richie chucked his dish on the floor after being taken off washing up duties – with AJ taking over.

However, the rattle on the floor clearly rattled our dancer as he looked absolutely fuming.

As the other campers giggled AJ failed to crack a smile and instead he ordered Shane to “put it by the bucket”.

Look forward to their “teamwork” tomorrow…

Come on guys, we're doing Shane again! You can vote for someone else, you know?

However, it was 100% the banter option to put him with AJ. Out of all the people in the camp, these two seem to have the most tension.

Not only did they have their little spat earlier in the week, this morning Shane passive aggressively discarded his pot near a sulking AJ.

I know that doesn't sound like beef but it was all in the vibe. You have to trust me. Anyway, can't wait to see how that turns out.

That reaction from the camp. No, “it's okay guys”. All deathly faces, full of rage. Is this the trigger we need for a huge argument?

Ant and Dec said earlier that they're worried about how cold the campmates are – well, nothing will compare to what these two are going through.

I have to say, this looks technically difficult but I'm not exactly terrified watching this. Oooh frogs, I'm so scared of things I've seen by a pond.

More like Crystal Maze than… well, I'm A Celeb.

“I've never been so confident” – Jordan North about the trial. Come on, my theory that they are setting up a big fall is coming true.

Also, Ant and Dec are refusing to help them this time. Crossing my fingers for them both.

Ohhhh we all remember messing up Jeremy Hunt's name. The poor, poor woman.

I imagine Jordan's story about not mentioning Halsey's name to Yungblud was exactly like the scene with the mole in Austin Powers 3.

That's a reference for everyone born before 1995.

Somehow they managed to win the challenge – despite the absolute classic tactic of “just try everything” while completing the fairytale, rather than looking at anything.

But then JELLYBEANS over gingerbread men? Are you joking? Obviously you're only going to get like three. These celebrities should not be trusted with a weekly shop.

I mean, you have to, right? We've never been given such a huge opportunity to wind up someone for no reason.

The reign of Jordan has come to an end! He accomplished so much, such as… and also…

Nah we all love Jordan but Giovanna balances the whole camp and acts as house mum too.

This might stop any arguments in their tracks, so if any of you want fireworks, consider her a hydrant.

AJ's only screen time so far has been him moaning about cleaning stuff, so he's in his element.

He looked happy. Definitely happy with it. Especially after Shane's comment…

Shane Richie is the ultimate dad. What a trick – revealing he just says nonsense in the middle of a sentence.

And of course he's done it to his camp son, Jordan. May this double act continue forever.

Jordan looks like a different human being with his baby face.

You know, that preview has made me suspicious. I'm onto the producer's game. They could be missing out on stars tonight…

Also, is anything funnier than a person tripping?
