Inside Corrie Faye Windass star Ellie Leach’s life from boyfriend to makeovers

Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach has been making headlines in recent weeks, as she faces her most gruelling storyline to date.

The 19-year-old's character, Faye Windass, is currently caught up in an abuse of power with her sinister boss, Ray Crosby, as he sets his sights on the teenager.

On Monday, Corrie fans were sickened to see Ray, who is aged in his 50s, invite the teenager to join him in the bathtub of his hotel room.

Though the request clearly made Faye feel uncomfortable, the scene ended with the pair in bed, sending a chill through viewers' spines.

Upcoming scenes will see Ray assault Faye in distressing scenes, as he takes advantage of her youth and vulnerability behind closed doors.

No doubt, Faye's name will be a huge part of Coronation Street's 60th anniversary – who is the actress behind the powerful scenes?

Boyfriend

While Ellie plays the romantic love interest to Corrie copper Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) on the soap, in real-life she's head over heels for longterm beau Reagan Pettman.

A fellow actor, Ellie and Reagan have been dating since 2018, and regularly share snippets of their relationship over social media.

The sweethearts have gone on a number of exotic jaunts together, travelling to the Dominican Republic in spring of 2019 and to Florida last October.

Dressing up in matching Pulp Fiction-inspired Halloween costumes, the pair seem inseparable, with Reagan attending Ellie's Corrie parties as her plus one.

Much like his Corrie star girlfriend, Reagan is also in the showbiz industry and markets himself as an actor, extra, model, influencer and dancer on his social media platforms.

Making it clear she's head over heels for her Mancunian beau, Ellie wrote earlier this month: "You will never know how special you are to me."

Glam makeovers

Faye Windass' wardrobe is usually quite pared-back and simple, but Ellie's personal sense of style is far more glamorous.

The teen regularly shares outfit snaps before nights out with her mates, working red lippy and dramatic false lashes.

In the past, Ellie has worked everything from mesh polka dot minidresses, sequinned catsuits and off-the-shoulder gowns, keeping on top of the trends.

And, for the various star-studded award ceremonies she attends, Ellie never fails to impress on the red carpet.

Ahead of the Inside Soap Awards last year, she dazzled in a soft blue lace gown, complete with black ribbon detailing, designed by Brit label Forever Unique.

For those who fancy Ellie's sense of style, you're in luck – the actress is flogging her wares on Depop, with more than 160 items listed.

Nights out with co-stars

Away from the cameras, Ellie has a real-life friendship with her former co-star Lucy Fallon, with the pair referring to each other as "bezzies".

Ellie and Lucy, who left the soap as Bethany Platt earlier this year, occasionally share snaps from their nights out with the cast.

Back in January, the pair got dressed to the nines for a glittering affair, wearing coordinated sparkling eye shadow and knocking back cocktails.

Gushing over a snap from the event, Ellie wrote: "Find u a bezzie like mine," as Lucy replied: "My best mate xxxxxxx."

Family

Born in Bury, Greater Manchester, Ellie is a proud older sister to her mini-me, Daisy, who is 12.

Reflecting on their sisterly bond, Ellie once recalled the moment she heard her mum was expecting – and the theatrics that ensued.

Celebrating Daisy's birthday last year, she wrote: "Happy 11th birthday to my baby sister, it only feels like yesterday I was telling mum that we should have got a dog instead of you.

"But now I have both so what more could I ask for, hope you have a very special day, love you lots."

Ellie isn't the only Corrie superstar in the family – Brooke Vincent, who plays Sophie Webster on the soap, is her cousin.

Bringing the famous family together, Ellie shared snaps from Brooke's baby shower last year, when she was expecting her son Mexx.

Posting a photo with her soap star cousin, Ellie mused: "Being able to watch you every step of the way through your pregnancy has been one of the most rewarding things in the world.

"It makes me realise what family means, and hopefully, one day, I can be as amazing as you are. I can't wait to meet Baby B and see what chaos they will bring."
