Katie Price wants to become a recluse once Mucky Mansion is done amid ‘new start’

Katie Price reflected on a "new start" on the opening episode of her new TV show Mucky Mansion on Wednesday night.

During the first episode of the Channel 4 series, Katie, 43, spent time in her sprawling garden with her two youngest children Jett, eight, and Bunny, seven.

Katie, who admitted that she previously "hated" her house, looked to the future as she vowed to make her renovated property a "happy home".

She said: "I find it so peaceful here and it's so nice that I can just look at this garden and think: 'I got this', I love it and I turn around and look at the house, I know it's a mess, but it's like: 'I got this.' It wasn't given to me, I worked for all of this.

"The best thing about it now, I'm going to work my absolute butt off to get it gorgeous again. Nobody thought I’d ever move back here, nobody, ever.

"And it's nice for me as I'm growing as a person again with the house, it's like a new start. It's like a reset button, I've done a reset button on myself so now let's do the reset button on the house.

"I just don't think I'll ever leave here, I think I'll become a recluse, because I won't need to leave here. I love that, no one can bother me."

Katie added: "I'm happy in my home and your home you should be happy, so I'm making this a happy home. I don't hate the house now, I love the house. I never thought I'd say that, I actually love my house."

Elsewhere during the show, Katie was left swearing after she accidentally dropped a chimney pot on her roof due to her long nails.

Katie and her builder Steve realised that a lot of damp being caused in the house was due to the leaking chimney as they vowed to fix it.

The duo decided to attach pots on top of the chimney to stop water going down and to prevent any birds from nesting in the space.

Katie and Steve then got to work as they went up to the chimney in question using a cherry picker with the screaming TV personality left scared over how high up they were.

And when Katie tried to help Steve, she accidentally dropped the chimney pot as it smashed into the roof and damaged it even further.

Katie then shouted: "S**t! Steve, you can't see it, s**t! Oh no, have we got another one? I'm so clumsy, so sorry, Steve!"

With Steve sarcastically joking: "Erm, don't do that again, then!"

Inspecting the damage, Katie exclaimed: "I can't believe I've just done that, my b****y nails and stuff, I've dropped it and now ruined my roof… more work! I try and help but I make things worse sometimes."

Thankfully the second chimney pot went successfully as the duo were able to install it with no further damage caused to the roof.

Speaking back down on the ground, Katie admitted: "Oh my God, that was a proper smash, wasn't it? How embarrassing. I bet Steve wanted to kill me inside. Look at the damage that I did, I'm so clumsy. Now that is going to annoy me!"

Katie Price's Mucky Mansion continues on Wednesdays at 9pm on Channel 4.
