KERRY Katona is planning a new book to finally “set the record straight about” her life.
The former Atomic Kitten singer released her memoir Still Standing nine years ago.
Now, a decade later Kerry, who was seen breaking down when talking about her childhood on SAS: Who Dares Wins, is keen to write a new book on what’s happened since.
A pal said: “Kerry has gone through more in the past 10 years than most people do in a lifetime.
“She got married to George Kay, which turned into a nightmare, and then she had to cope with his suicide. But she brushed herself off, rebuilt and she has now found love again.
“And all the way through she has to fight mental health problems which have never beaten her down.
“Kerry has a powerful story to tell and thinks sharing her experiences with others might help those going through a similar ordeal.
“Everyone seems to have had their say on Kerry’s life but Kerry is the only who knows the truth which is why she’s determined to speak it.”
The Sun understands Kerry was in talks about a new book before lockdown and sounded out co-writers.
But the pandemic forced her to shelve the plans because she had to frantically find work to make ends meet and pay the bills.
She even signed up to OnlyFans pocketing tens of thousands by posting racy pics.
Our source added: “Kerry’s life has now settled. She has moved back to the north west and is planning her upcoming marriage to Ryan. She’s hit a landmark age and has been spending a lot of time reflecting on life. The time feels right to speak her truth.”
Her 2012 book, Still Standing: The Autobiography, pulled no punches. In it Kerry described meeting ex husband Mark Croft when he was supplying cocaine to her mother Sue in September 2005.
Kerry had just returned to Warrington after spending six weeks in rehab in Arizona for depression, alcohol and drugs.
They announced a breakup in 2009 but reconciled, then divorced in 2011. She also opened up about her break-up with ex husband, the Westlife singer Bryan McFadden.
