Emmerdale viewers finally discovered who pushed Kim Tate tonight when Faith Dingle confessed to the shocking attack.
In a strange twist of fate it was actually Kim that was sent to prison when her crimes were exposed.
Shifty Faith was among the suspects after emerging from another room just moments after Kim came crashing down onto the champagne fountain.
Charity Dingle was arrested, but after being released confronted her own son Noah about the attack.
Her suspicions were raised when Faith defended Noah and insisted anyone at the masquerade ball could have shoved Kim off the balcony.
With the truth suddenly dawning on her, Charity said: “It was you wasn’t it. You pushed her.”
Realising she had been caught out, Faith revealed that she did push Kim at Home Farm.
Faith, or the “masked avenger”, insisted that she would not have let Charity take the blame.
The Dingle matriarch said: “I wouldn’t have let you swing for it. I would have fessed up to the police but we gave them the slip.”
Kim revealed to Graham Foster that she hadn’t actually seen who shoved her, so Faith is in the clear for now.
However, Kim found herself in hot water when the police turned up at the hospital.
She was charged with driving without insurance after traffic cameras caught her speeding on her way to Home Farm.
The offences put her in breach of her prison license, so Kim was being sent back to jail to serve out her full sentence – another six months.
Kim shouted: “Don’t be ridiculous you can’t, this is completely out of order, police harassment, victimisation.
“I have served my time, you can’t do this to me.”
The Emmerdale villain was cuffed and taken away in her wheelchair.
But don’t start weeping at the thought of her leaving for another 20 years away – the notorious legend will be back next year… and she’ll be badder than ever.
*Emmerdale airs on Monday night on ITV at 7pm
