Linda's exit set in motion in EastEnders tonight as she takes Janine's offer

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) weighs up her options in EastEnders on Wednesday (May 18), following Janine Butcher’s (Charlie Brooks) wild proposition.

Janine, as viewers know, is keen to get Linda out of Mick’s (Danny Dyer) life, after realising that the spark between the married couple is as alive as ever.

Believing that she and Mick stand no chance of a future while Linda is in the Square, the schemer decided to take drastic action on Tuesday (May 17) to get rid of her love rival once and for all.

Linda, drowning her sorrows in Walford East, was stunned, as Janine entered the premises and proceeded to offer her £25,000 in exchange for her agreeing leaving the Square.

The landlady refused to go, but Janine’s manipulation was in full swing once more, claiming that her family would be better off without her.

Linda contemplates what to do for the best in Wednesday’s visit to the Square, and ultimately, she comes to a huge decision, choosing to take Janine up on her offer.

There is, however, a catch.

She wants double the money! Janine, as usual, underestimated her foe, and thus she’s taken aback when Linda reveals the terms of her agreeing to the proposition.

Subsequent scenes will see the schemer become all the more determined to get rid of Linda, and thus she comes up with a cunning plan to raise the funds.

She successfully does so, meeting with Linda once more to reveal that she’s got the cash.

Janine calls the shots this time, telling the landlady that she can only have the money if she agrees to leave tomorrow!

Will Linda adhere to Janine’s demands?

EastEnders continues Wednesday May 18 at 7:30pm on BBC One.
