Good Morning Britiain host Kate Garraway informed viewers of the line-up change.

She said: "I think in almost a first in her 30 year history on breakfast TV she's gone home.

"She's not well. She's got a bug. We're wishing you very well, Lorraine."

Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh stepped in at short notice to fill the gap and keep the show on air.

Kate told viewers: "It's a good job Ranvir didn't say no to coming in and got herself out of bed, otherwise we wouldn't have a show."

Lorraine's show first hit our screens in 2010.
