Love Island Martin hailed ‘icon’ for reactions during Shaq and Tanya’s big blow

Islander Martin was branded “iconic” as tensions erupted in the Love Island villa.

Feathers were ruffled during Wednesday night’s (February 22) explosive episode that saw Movie Night end with so much tension you could cut with a knife.

ITV bosses bought back the iconic twist, which involved Islanders getting cosy as they were shown various tell-all clips, exposing their confessions for all their fellow islanders to see.

Tanya’s partner Shaq insisted he hadn’t known Tanya got stuck into a kiss with Martin in bed and was fuming at some of her comments in the clip.

While the drama unfolded, new fan-favourite Martin was filmed grinning away and was seemingly thrilled at the chaos the movie trailer had caused.

His eyes had darted back and forth between the rowing couple, and Martin continued to eat his popcorn as he watched in excitement.

Straight after the scenes aired, viewers flocked to social media, where they shared their thoughts to Martin’s hilarious reactions.

“NAH I ACTUALLY CANT MARTIN,” one fan chuckled on Twitter.

Another posted: “Every time the camera is on Martin I’m howling.”

“Martin’s reaction to the Tanya and Shaq drama is ICONIC hahaha #loveisland,” a third laughed.

While a fourth person teased: “Martin saw the perfect moment to be the new iconic movie night meme and took it #LoveIsland.”

“Martin eating popcorn while Shaq and Tanya were going at it was iconic lmao. He was LIVING #loveisland #LoveIslandUK,” a fifth said, followed by: “MARTIN!! He absolutely loves it #LoveIsland.”

Elsewhere, in a sneak peek, Aussie lass Jessie was in floods of tears over farmer Will, and a fuming Samie gave partner Tom a death stare as the Movie Night unfolded.

Meanwhile, Love Island fans think only one couple could come out of the Movie Night unscathed and share their thoughts on social media.
