Love Island summer start date revealed – and it's sooner than you think | The Sun

LOVE Island will be back on our screens in just eight weeks.

Insiders have told The Sun this year’s summer series of Love Island will begin on Monday June 5.

Maya Jama, 28, will be returning as host following her huge success on the winter version of the show.

This year’s intake of lovelorn singles will be flown out to Majorca next month and the winners will be staying in the luxurious villa for two whole months.

A source said: “Love Island will start on June 5, just as people are getting ready to enjoy their summers.

“ITV have already lined up the islanders who will be heading to the show’s villa in Majorca.

Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were crowned the winners of this year’s winter series.

Kai and Sanam, both 24, managed to beat rivals Tom Clare & Samie Elishi and Lana Jenkins, 25, & Ron Hall, 26, and Shaq Muhammad, 24, & Tanya Manhenga, 22.

“Literally she blew me away straight away,” Kai told Maya on his first impressions of Sanam.

Sanam added: “For me, it was always Kai. I always said he was my number one.”
