The third NCIS offshoot is still building its cast, with newcomers Tori Anderson and Kian Talan recently joining the new CBS series. After hearing the latest NCIS: Hawaii updates, series lead Vanessa Lachey took to Instagram with a touching message for her new co-star.

Vanessa Lachey has shown her appreciation for the two rising stars who have just joined the cast of NCIS: Hawaii.

The first female-fronted addition to the NCIS franchise, Hawaii will feature Lachey as Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant.

Deadline have recently confirmed that Kian Talan will portray Tennant’s 16-year-old son Alex, the agent’s eldest child.

The mature yet somewhat troubled teenager is struggling with his parents’ divorce in the series, and occasionally lands himself in trouble by making the wrong choices.

Meanwhile, Tori Anderson will be a regular in the NCIS’s Pearl Harbour branch.

She’ll be playing Kate Whistler, an aspirational member of the team who may have a secretive past.

Once the news was announced, Lachey commented on Anderson’s new Instagram post: “Yes! Let’s GOOOO! Congrats!”

Anderson and Talan fill out the show’s main cast, alongside the previously announced Yasmine Al-Bustami and Jason Antoon.

Her news prompted excited responses from her Instagram followers and fellow acting friends.
